While growing up, fitness and sports represented Jordan Levin’s life. On any given day, you could find him water skiing, windsurfing, snow skiing, playing baseball, hockey, and doing gymnastics. He loved playing sports, which he learned from his father, an active athlete himself.

Jordan’s true passion is to help people strive to do and be the best. He learned this through a life that involved significant health issues and a hearing disability that easily could have kept him down and out. (Read His Story) Throughout his life, Jordan’s parents taught him the meaning of being relentless (Read We Were Relentless), never taking “no” for an answer, and striving for the best.

He has overcome many obstacles in his life, and today, this vibrant, enthusiastic and highly-motivated coach helps adults, children, and teens find the desire within them to accomplish their own personal fitness/health goals. Jordan has grown CFB from humble roots in his parents garage into an 8000 sq ft fitness facility. Bringing a tough yet highly compassionate style to his coaching, Jordan leverages his own life lessons to help members to accomplish their own goals.

Jordan is also a motivational speaker and champion for overcoming the nation’s childhood obesity epidemic. This certified fitness coach and owner of CrossFit Bloomfield is President of the Jordan Levin Childhood Obesity Foundation, and speaks to groups about his life’s journey.

Hillary Levin, like most people, went to the gym on and off and worked out without passion or drive. It felt like a chore. It was something to do that made sure she fit into a certain pair of pants.

The inconsistency and lack of focus with exercise was soon laid to rest when her husband, Jordan Levin introduced her to CrossFit. Finally she found the missing link!

CrossFit was Hillary’s golden ticket to finding her true mental and physical potential, confidence, drive and focus. Every day was a new workout that inspired, challenged and pushed her beyond anything she had ever experienced. She found that everything she did in CrossFit could be translated to her every day routine outside of the “Box.” It was then that things finally clicked and workouts were no longer a chore, but something that became a much welcomed life style.

Georgia found CrossFit in 2012 in her hometown of Sydney, Australia. As many teenage girls do, she struggled with negative body image and tried to achieve her dream body through restrictive dieting and excessive exercise.

Finding CrossFit changed Georgia’s life, and she thrived in the competitive atmosphere, blown away by what she discovered her body was capable of. The mental clarity that accompanies an intense WOD served as meditation and helped her deal with anxiety. She no longer judged her body on how it looked, but instead on how it performed.

Georgia moved to the US in 2014 and felt immediately at home in the CrossFit Bloomfield family. She feels humbled to have the opportunity to share with others what she holds so valuable and to pass along the inspiration and encouragement that has allowed her to live out her dream. She geeks out over programming and is on a relentless pursuit to expand her knowledge of strength and conditioning.

I found Crossfit at the perfect time. I was now in my 40s, had been working out with traditional workouts since high school, and was getting bored and a little stagnant. Lifting weights at global gyms and doing various cardio workouts from stair masters and running to kick boxing and spinning, can only inspire for so long. I had never used a trainer and had always structured my workouts on my own.

I had the opportunity to meet Jordan and Hilary Levin, went thru a baseline workout and I was off. Hooked because of the variety of workouts, the programming by others and the friendly but competitive nature of the members, I finally found the workout that will keep my interest for the rest of my life. When I saw the need of our Box to have a coaching presence by someone over the age of 40, I took the level one trainer course and got certified. For the past two years I have been able to coach, and teach others the type of training I found so appealing.  I have participated in various Crossfit competitions and have had the pleasure to meet all sorts of athletes from many different boxes around the state. Crossfit really has become a way of life for me, and I am thankful to have found this community, and this box with all the great individuals associated with both.

I was first introduced to CrossFit during the summer of 2012. After competitively swimming for 10 years, I was searching for something else to challenge me physically, but had no idea where CrossFit would eventually take me. I was looking for something different than the average cardio and weightlifting machines. In the beginning, I definitely questioned the program, the workouts, and myself. CrossFit’s programs are the opposite of swimming’s programs and it was difficult to adjust to, especially being a woman in the fitness industry. Throughout the years, “thin was in”.

Well not for me, muscular shoulders and back was something that would never go away. I initially lacked mental strength. However, the time finally came when I no longer cared what others thought. I now value the emphasis and importance and beauty of being strong and never letting anyone or anything hold me back.

I love CrossFit because it pushes my limits, both mentally and physically. I learn something new about myself every day at the gym. Good and/or bad. CrossFit allows us to always set new goals and continuously learn and improve. You eat well, train hard, and push yourself to challenge those around you. It has helped me understand and appreciate the process needed to achieve goals, not only in the gym, but in life. The biggest joy is to be able help others love this lifestyle and show them how it can improve their overall health and well-being.

Rachel has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Northern Michigan University.
